We are looking for a Space Test Technician to join our team in Portsmouth supporting systemlevel testing activities within a controlled cleanroom environment. The role focuses on executing established test procedures operating test equipment and ensuring compliance with technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out system tests following defined procedures and performance specifications.
- Operate test benches and associated equipment with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Document test results and escalate issues to engineering when required.
- Follow cleanroom protocols safety standards and structured ways of working.
- Work safely on elevated enclosed platforms as part of routine operations.
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and work to defined specifications.
- Competence in operating test equipment tools and system test benches.
- Strong understanding of mechanical electrical or systemlevel principles.
- Familiarity with structured documentation and reporting practices.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and adhering to strict protocols.
- Ability to work safely at height using approved access equipment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with engineering and operations teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical processdriven approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
- HND equivalent vocational qualification or completion of a technical apprenticeship are all suitable pathways.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience supporting systemlevel or environmental testing in technical or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with RF test environments or signalbased testing.
- Understanding of cleanroom best practices and contaminationcontrol principles.
- Exposure to aerospace space marine defence or other complex engineering sectors.
- Experience working with wiring harnesses or systemlevel assemblies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings schematics or test specifications.
