AECOMs Port and Marine team are looking for an Associate Director with civil and structural knowledge and a technical focus to lead the team on multiple projects.

The candidate will be a team player self-motivated support fellow team members manage inputs meeting client requirements to agreed costs and quality. Working with an established Port a Marine team with over 150 years of shared experience in the marine environment. We require someone to compliment that and will be responsible for technical and project delivery of a wide range of projects.  Key clients include local authority private companies defence organisation and internal clients both in the UK and overseas.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK 

Job Duties:

• Team leadership mentoring of staff to achieve technical solution and provide support to develop their knowledge and experience;
• Lead projects in the role of Project Director Senior Project Manager Project Lead;
• Leadership and champion for safety promoting a strong safety culture within the team;
• Responsible for ensuring the planning preparation and successful completion of deliverables;
• Managing of work winning priorities and resourcing;
• Communicate and liaise with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables and assist in the preparation of tenders (programme cost estimate resourcing preparation of written quality/technical input etc);
• Lead delivery of projects for the design of structures in the Marine Environment (including; quay wall piers jetties revetment breakwaters fendering scour protection linkspan supports dolphins etc);
• Have a good track record of working with both public and private clients and be able to lead a team and establish work streams with clients on both existing and new contracts;
• Good understanding of using British Standards Eurocodes and best practice in the maritime environment;
• Good understanding of CDM Safety in design and CEMD;
• Experience in delivering projects over a range of cost and complexity;
• Working in and leading multi-disciplinary teams and experience in the UK Maritime industry ;
• Have understanding and ensure that the checking and reviewing technical specifications reports and technical notes are done to a high standard.

Qualifications :

Ready to push the limits of whats possible

Heres what were looking for:

• Experience of leading projects in the Marine Environment (including; quay wall piers jetties revetment breakwaters fendering scour protection linkspan supports dolphins etc);
• Commercial and financial acumen in the delivery of projects;
• Excellent understanding of NEC 3 and/or 4 suite of contracts (NEC REG)
• Preferred CEng / IEng qualified in civil or structural engineering
• Be able to obtain SC Clearance (without Caveat Sole UK National with non-UK affiliation residency or ID card)
