Total Hours per Week: 37.5
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30am 4:30pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement includes wage grants): $23.79 per hour

About the Role
As a Teachers Assistant you are a key support to the classroom the children and the centre. Your flexibility care and teamwork help maintain a positive organized and safe environment for all. Duties vary from centre to centre but your contributions will always make a meaningful impact.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated awareness of working with children
• Experience and ability to effectively interact with children requiring behavioural guidance
• Excellent problem-solving interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from supervisors
• Flexibility and adaptability to support various duties and changing needs
• Passion for nurturing children and supporting their growth
• Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen and the ability to apply it in practice

• Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Proof ofup-to-date immunizations(TB Tetanus MMR)

• Meet and greet children and families at drop-off and pick-up
• Assist staff as they arrive including helping in classrooms or other areas of the centre
• Deliver and serve snacks tidy classrooms or support other centre needs as assigned

• Help settle children during sleep time

• Provide coverage in classrooms during lunches breaks programming time and ensure children are comfortable performing sleep checks and offering comfort as needed
• Follow the plans for the day and support childrens learning and engagement
• Adapt to different duties as required by the centres schedule and needs

• Assist with laundry tidying or kitchen tasks as needed
• Be flexible and ready to support co-workers and the centre wherever help is required
