Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Luis Obispo CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy healthcare location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents assist staff patients and visitors with clear communication and document observations and reports. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas entrances parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assistance with de-escalation and/or coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
- Monitor alarms cameras and other security-related systems when assigned and report unusual activity hazards and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
- Complete detailed incident reports daily activity logs and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security experience is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
