IMSA is seeking AP Test Proctors for the Spring 2026 testing season. If you are interested in being considered for the AP Proctor role please complete the application by March 15th.Once the application date has passed we will reach out to all applicants with the testing schedule so they can inform us of their interest. We will slot in applicants on a first come/first serve basis.

Generally speaking AP Tests will take place May 4th May 8th and May 11th May 15th and there may be a morning and/or afternoon session. If you are currently employed at IMSA please speak with your supervisor before submitting your application to ensure they are comfortable with you potentially assisting for at least a few hours during these dates as it may require rearranging your work schedule.

Responsibilities

The Role of the Proctor

The AP Program uses the termproctorto refer to any adult authorized by the AP coordinator who is present during and accountable for the administration of an individual AP Exam. A proctor might be asked to supervise the testing room read the exam administration script help distribute or collect exam materials or accept responsibility for timing the exams and ensuring exam security.

Keeping Exam Content Secure

Proctors may never discuss multiple-choice and any unreleased free-response exam content with anyone. If free-response content is not on the College Board website two days after the exam it may not be discussed. (Late-testing content is not released and may never be discussed.)

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Prior or current employment at IMSA
  • An individualmay notproctor an AP Exam or handle materials for an exam in the year in which an immediate family or household member may be taking that exam. Immediate family includes ones parents siblings children grandparents and spouse. This applies even if they dont reside in the same household.
  • Proctorsmay nottake any AP Exam or review in any manner the content of the exam.
  • Proctorsmay notbe employed part or full time at a test preparation company.
  • Proctorsmay notparticipate in any coaching activity that addresses the content of secure College Board tests.

Compensation

AP Proctors are paid per test utilizing the following formula:

  • Standard Time Test Proctor: $135/Test
  • Time and One Half Test Proctor: $165/Test
  • Double Time Test Proctor: $195/Test
