How youll contribute:
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant works within his/her state scope of practice and within the guidelines of a collaborative agreement with a physician as applicable by state requirement. Works in collaboration with a psychiatrist on an inpatient basis and oversees the quality of care delivered to his/her patients on an outpatient basis.
Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Knowledgeable regarding infection control & employee health policies/procedures. Assure use of universal/standard precautions and effectively
handle emergency situations
Provides individual therapy family therapy and/or medication management as needed for assigned patients.
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physicians assistant program required. Completion of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program preferred.
