Position Summary:
Certification clerk issues certifications for customer shipments lot number heat treatment data material certs independent testing of heat treat process retrieve process certifications and match with relevant shipments. The Certification Clerk stores the receiving inspection documents using computer software ERP system/doc database following procedures and certification codes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
- Issue review and maintain production and supplier quality certifications as required Review quality certifications against purchase order drawing and specification requirements for accuracy and completeness
- Assist and/or prepare data packs for any products as necessary. Priority will be established by the Quality Manager or the quality engineers or heat treat supervisor. This responsibility may include working with buyers and program managers.
- Scan and file documents including supplier certs daily as necessary
- Update Quality document logs (SCAR NCR CAR SSR status etc.)
- Assist in and/or documentation of quality requirements
- Assist in quality systems processes including internal audits (training will be provided.) and MRB meetings
- Cross-train with facility administrator to provide back-up responsibilities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Creating best practice for racking procedures
- Certifying HTPRs (heat treat process records)
- Creating Lite-up HTPRs (heat treat process records)
- Creating standard work procedures for equipment.
- Data entry not limited to internal heat treat department processes.
- Assisting in department projects
- Ordering department supplies.
Required Skills:
- The ability to read and write English
- Typing and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Typing and computer skills (Excel)
Required Experience:
Level of Education:
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
