Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Driver in Manson NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations with calm professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and you will carry out armed duties in line with site requirements. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients staff and authorized visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Perform armed patrol duties including regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation requesting assistance and completing required notifications and reports.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials managing entry and exit points screening for prohibited items per site policy and directing visitors to appropriate processing areas.
- Observe report and assist with enforcement of post orders related to inmate and/or detainee movement transportation details and perimeter integrity helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
