SGI Global is seeking a General Clerk II to support the United States Attorneys Office Western District of Louisiana. The General Clerk II will provide clerical administrative and litigation support services in support of immigration-related cases including habeas corpus petitions and judicial review of agency actions. These services require knowledge of office administrative practices document management and case tracking processes along with the ability to manage high volumes of case-related documentation accurately and efficiently.).

Job Duties
- Analyze types of immigration filings and properly identify and account for TRO deadlines and other injunctive relief
- Updating local and division-wide deadlines and documents daily as well as docket information
- Maintaining databases/files and correspondence regarding immigration litigation compliance
- Preparing documentation pertinent to new current and closing immigration cases
- Communicating with agency staff regarding deadlines data gathering and entry and case details
- Assisting with full case openings for immigration cases
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Associates degree in office administration paralegal studies or a related field;
- One year of experience in clerical office or administrative support services;
- A Bachelors degree may be substituted for experience;
- A U.S. Citizenship;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite word processing document creation and management business administration and data entry.
