Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Agent in Queens NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location you will conduct routine foot patrols maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations with calm clear communication. You will document activity support access control as needed and deliver customer service to riders and staff. You will bring integrity to every interaction and deliver results through teamwork in a caring culture.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to riders visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a government transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout stations platforms entrances corridors parking areas and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical situations suspicious activity and/or service disruptions and communicate updates to the appropriate parties.
- Control access to restricted areas check identification and/or credentials when required and monitor for unauthorized entry to help to deter prohibited activity.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs preserve observations for follow-up and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or public agency personnel as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
