Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Inspector shall be responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field construction layout making and checking engineering computations inspecting construction work track daily quantities drafting daily quality reports and the monitoring of field tests. Must be proficient with performing periodic audits of the contractors quality control personnel and procedures. Must interact with the contractors quality control team to obtain project documentation such as quality control daily reports and discrepancy logs.
The duties of the Quality Assurance Inspector include the following:
- Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans specifications airport policies and federal aviation regulations.
- Track work performed prepare electronic Daily Reports and advise on Change Order negotiation.
- Work with Contractors Quality Control representative DFW Airport commercial airline air operations terminal management terminal vendor program management and design personnel to ensure that all work operations are coordinated to the benefit of all involved with no impacts to the traveling public.
- Review submittals for contractor furnished materials and equipment.
- Ensure that construction submittals are approved as required by the contract prior to allowing material on site and work to proceed.
- Maintain a copy of the drawings and specifications at the jobsite complete with up-to-date approved revisions with an up-to-date submittal log and submittal register as well as copies of approved samples.
- Immediately report non-complying work as well as individuals who fail to perform their work in a skillful and safe manner.
- Maintain and utilize as-built construction data to validate contractor jobsite accuracy.
- Perform preparatory phase initial phase and follow-up phase inspections on established definable features of work submit lists of deficiencies and ensure correction of all deficiencies prior to close-out procedures.
- Ensure that all applicable tests and observations required by the contract are performed and shall coordinate all on-site testing required by this contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR QA CIVIL INSPECTION TECHNICIAN
High school graduate or equivalent plus fifteen (15) years experience of direct involvement in activities related to mechanical electrical or plumbing addition the preferred candidate shall be:

- Possess the ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
- Possess the ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
- Have general knowledge of safety and occupational health principles practices procedures laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.
- Employees assigned to driving duties (drivers) must have a current valid US State drivers license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Kevilles driving policy.
- OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
General Work Conditions:
Work is frequently performed in a field environment at the Clients job site. The incumbent must be available to work nights and weekends have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather being exposed to heavy construction equipment airport runways and doing extensive walking. Depending on the specific project the job may require climbing to various elevations ability to bend twist and turn in close clearances and crawl into confined spaces to perform required work. Work environment may require use of construction/inspection safety equipment including fall equipment. Adherence to applicable safety protocol is required.
