You are a dependable hard-working colleague that will make a difference for our customers and fellow colleagues every day. Your impact will range from maintaining farm property equipment and facilities to caring for farm animals particularly sheep.
A Day in the Life:
As part of the Microbiology Division team you will help our customers find solutions and workflows for food clinical and pharmaceutical environments. You will be responsible for:
- Feeding animals daily and provide care as needed.
- Setting up equipment for bleeding maneuver animals into shoots bleed animals as needed and clean area thoroughly.
- Assisting with general farm upkeep of fence lines drainage ditches lawn house/farm repairs including minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Providing basic feed and upkeep for animals on a weekend rotation basis.
- Operating company vehicles and machinery such as tractors truck and loader.
- Checking farm for safety and security as needed.
- Using hand-held machinery such as grinder drill and weed eater for routine farm upkeep.
- Reporting any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor Human Resources Safety Specialist or Senior Management.
Keys to Success:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Basic exposure to hand tools and equipment from a farming environment.
- 2 years of related farm experience or equivalent experience
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Possess basic knowledge of English math and the ability to read.
- Possess good mechanical proficiency.
- Ability walk up to 2 hours a day.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
