The Compensation Analyst II serves as a strategic partner to the business leveraging advanced data modeling and market intelligence to design and refine Appians global compensation programs. Beyond routine reporting this role is responsible for leading complex benchmarking projects auditing pay equity and providing data-driven recommendations that align with our growth objectives. As a key member of the team they bridge the gap between raw HR metrics and actionable talent strategy ensuring Appian remains competitive and compliant in a dynamic global market.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics & Insight Generation: Lead the generation maintenance and deep-dive analysis of global HR and compensation reports. Identify complex trends and provide executive-level insights to drive strategic decision-making and long-term talent planning.
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking: Own the end-to-end participation in global compensation surveys. Conduct comprehensive research and competitive intelligence mapping to ensure Appians pay structures ranges and practices remain leaders in the technology sector.
Lifecycle Program Administration: Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership for the administration of annual compensation cycles (merit bonus and equity). This includes architecting complex data validation models managing budget tracking and generating personalized total rewards statements.
Consultative Project Support: Act as a lead analytical resource for cross-functional HR projects and ad-hoc data requests. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks providing high-level support for initiatives ranging from organizational design to diversity and pay equity audits.
Data Stewardship & Process Optimization: Drive the accuracy consistency and integrity of global HR data. Lead proactive audit cycles and implement continuous process improvements within HRIS systems to enhance scalability and reporting efficiency.
