WB COO

COO Wholesale is accountable for designing the global WB operations strategy and optimizing productivity and customer satisfaction in Operations to improve operational efficiency for the (5000) segmented Wholesale Bank clients. The product portfolio consists of all Wholesale Bank products like Lending FM Trade (TFS SCF and WCS) and Daily Banking.

Role

We are seeking an energetic analytical and driven Change expert with specific knowledge and experience on End to End Operational Process Mapping in WB COO across all domains.

In this role you contribute to accelerating end to end process mapping reporting forecasting and building out the data driven insights within WB COO and WB more broadly. It requires a full and deep understanding of all processes in WB across the domains in Lending Financial Markets Client Services Payments and FCP as well as understanding the deviations in the countries we operate across our network.

You will be part of the Scalable Operations Strategy within executing ING Wholesale Banking and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank. The professional is also supporting the implementation and execution of digital initiatives. It will require detailed knowledge on Digi-60 Ops-60 and budget and benefit tracking.

The ideal candidate will have a strong capability data analytics process improvement promoting cross-functional collaboration and driving business outcomes with a broad variety of stakeholders and has to have excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilitie

  • End-to-End Operational Management
    • Demonstrate a strong end-to-end understanding of Wholesale Banking operational processes including product flows client journeys handovers dependencies and control points across front-to-back operations.
    • Take ownership of end-to-end operational performance management ensuring transparency and control over volumes flows capacity and operational outcomes within Wholesale Banking Operations.
    • Lead and collaborate with data analytics and data development teams translating business questions into scalable data solutions dashboards and management information that support operational decision-making.
    • Work closely with senior stakeholders and domain leads across Wholesale Banking to define agree and steer on performance targets including productivity throughput service levels and efficiency metrics.
    • Drive forecasting and forward-looking insights on operational flows demand capacity and FTE planning enabling proactive management and informed strategic choices.
    • Ensure clear consistent and actionable reporting on operational performance including flows backlogs capacity utilization and staffing with a strong focus on data quality and interpretability.
    • Translate complex operational and data-driven insights into clear compelling presentations for senior management demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Scalability:
    • Support the ambitious digitalization agenda of most of our customer-facing processes and ensure operational efficiencies go hand in hand with increased customer engagement
    • Support the need for change shaping a vision mobilizing commitment and monitoring progress to achieve the desired outcomes.
    • Follow-up on design and implementation plans for scalable solutions to support business growth and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with business and IT leads to ensure the delivery of scalable operations initiatives across WB.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the executive team on the status of resilience and scalability initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Black Belt certification
  • In depth knowledge of WB domains and products
  • Great powerpoint / thinkcell skills and creating consultancy style presentations
  • Experience with steering on output.
  • Excellent level of English.
