Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Eden NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal at an education location as an Armed Patrol Officer helping support a welcoming environment through visible rounds access control and prompt response to security-related concerns. This is a driving post using your valid drivers license to patrol assigned areas and assist staff students and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an education location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards maintenance concerns and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site leadership and public law enforcement as needed.
- Control access at designated posts by monitoring entry points checking identification and/or credentials and directing visitors to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
- Carry and handle authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements including firearms and related gear while completing required training reporting and documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
