Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rapid Response in Scottsdale AZ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution location as an armed patrol officer monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help identify and address security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible to help discourage incidents and provide clear communication and customer service to staff and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a financial services setting.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout the facility including lobbies office areas corridors parking areas and the perimeter helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor alarms cameras and/or access control points; verify identification and authorize entry for employees visitors and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed while maintaining control of the area.
- Document patrols incidents disturbances maintenance concerns and other security-related observations in written reports and/or electronic systems and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience OR have a college degree.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
