Peer Recovery Workers provide an understanding of the experience of living with a mental health challenge and assist people to connect feel validated and supported to strive for the recovery outcomes they hope to achieve. This is a community based position supporting individuals to engage in their recovery goals and making links within the community of their choice. This position will be required to work independently in the community offering client centered support within the model of care. This is a rare opportunity to secure a position in the sought after Fremantle location.
Peer workers provide a unique perspective and offer hope to individuals on their recovery journey by showing that recovery is possible. Through shared understanding Peer workers help people feel supported connect grow resilience and enhance wellbeing. A Peer Recovery Workeris at the forefront of the organisation in providing client facing recovery support. Supported by the Team Lead and Peer Lead you will play an important role in improving the health and social wellbeing housing and overall quality of life for clients maximising functional recovery self-management independence and participation in the community. This role is responsible for undertaking tasks around case management documentation referrals and appointments.
We are seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Worker to join our Stronger Ground Central team primarily based in Fremantle. The position will work 38 hour per week Monday to Friday. We offer flexible start and finish time between the hours of 8am - 5pm.
