Job Summary
Title: Associate Technical Specialist (Operator 2)
Location: Auburn Hills MI
Shift: First: Start 6:00 AM
Experience:
-1 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment with at least 1 year operating CNC lathes or machining centers.
-Experience performing in-process inspections using calipers micrometers or other basic measurement tools.
-Exposure to blueprint reading tolerances and recording production or inspection data.
-Basic familiarity with FANUC controls; exposure to Mastercam preferred.
-Experience handling materials such as Delrin or stainless steel preferred.
Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent optional; vocational training or coursework in machining may substitute for experience.
-Familiarity with metric-based measurements and documentation preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
-Ability to operate CNC lathes and multi-axis machining centers with moderate independence following setup sheets and CNC programs.
-Ability to assist with machine setups including loading tools and work holding fixtures.
-Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of CNC operations and escalate complex issues.
-Ability to verify part quality using standard inspection tools and adhere to print specifications.
-Ability to maintain production logs inspection records and shift reports.
-Ability to follow shop safety standards maintain cleanliness and support minor machine maintenance.
-Ability to learn and develop skills for advancement to Machinist 1.
