Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: East Peoria IL (Onsite)- Locals only
Job Type: Long term contract

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization in East this role you will support and innovate LAN solutions across the enterprise collaborating with technical teams to keep network operations robust and efficient. This is a full-time onsite opportunity offering hands-on work with Cisco networking technologiees.

Job responsibilities:

Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve LAN issues replacing defective components as needed

Support LAN development and enhancements based on business needs

Participate in on-call rotation for off-shift critical support

Work with business partners and vendors to integrate network infrastructure

Implement process improvements and follow IT Service Management standards

Coordinate with firewall VPN wireless and NAC teams to execute changes

Provide technical guidance to business partners on LAN matters.

Must Have skills:

Must have 5 yrs of Networking Engineering experience

Must have LAN operations and implementation experience.

Must have Skills: - Cisco Ethernet LAN OSPF QOS TCP/IP VLAN CCNA.

Qualifications:

5 7 years of progressive experience in network engineering or equivalent role

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience)

Strong understanding of LAN implementation and support

Proficiency with Cisco switches and LAN operations

Solid experience with TCP/IP Ethernet OSPF QoS IP subnetting VLANs and switching

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively

Other Desirable Qualifications:

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Automation and scripting experience

Familiarity with DNA Center (Catalyst Center)

Wireless networking knowledge
