Randstad is seeking a senior-level Power Platform DevOps Engineer to support a high-impact client in Washington DC. In this role you will serve as the technical backbone of the enterprise low-code ecosystem moving beyond simple app creation to focus on the plumbing security and scalability of the entire platform. You will be responsible for building the guardrails that enable secure self-service implementing robust Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) workflows and stabilizing complex integrations between Power Apps Power Automate and enterprise data sources. This is a critical position for a hands-on engineer who enjoys architecting environment strategies and ensuring that the platform remains governed performant and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Governance: Design and implement environment strategies (Dev Test Prod) Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and connector governance to ensure secure enterprise-wide use.
- ALM & Automation: Define and execute automated promotion paths and deployment pipelines to transition solutions from development to production seamlessly.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor debug and stabilize existing Power Platform applications and automations ensuring high availability and supportability.
- Security & Identity: Configure complex security models access controls and identity integrations to protect sensitive organizational data.
- Data Integration: Manage enterprise data connectivity including Power BI gateway usage workspace security and integration with diverse backend data sources.
- Enablement: Act as a technical subject matter expert for self-service users providing the foundational architecture and best practices they need to build safely.
Qualifications
- Extensive Hands-on Experience: Deep technical proficiency across the full Microsoft Power Platform stack including Power Apps Power Automate Power BI and Power Pages.
- Platform Engineering Mindset: Proven track record in configuring tenant-level settings environment variables and security roles within a large-scale enterprise.
- Data Expertise: Strong Power BI platform skills specifically regarding dataset management row-level security and gateway architecture.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and refactor legacy low-code solutions to improve stability and performance.
- Communication: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced DC environment translating complex technical governance into clear guidance for stakeholders.
- Professional Background: Experience working within enterprise-grade IT departments where ownership and monitoring are core to the delivery lifecycle.
