Job Summary

Lead City IT initiatives end-to-end coordinating business stakeholders vendors and technical teams. Own scope schedule budget risk communications and delivery governance.

Primary responsibilities

Plan and manage IT projects from initiation through closeout (charter WBS schedule budget tracking)
Facilitate discovery sessions requirements workshops and stakeholder alignment meetings
Manage RAID (risks assumptions issues dependencies) and drive mitigation plans
Coordinate vendors/third parties and ensure deliverable acceptance
Produce executive-ready reporting (status KPIs milestones decisions needed)
Support procurement-to-delivery transition for SOW-based engagements
Ensure change control release planning and cutover readiness
Provide project artifacts: project plan communications plan status reports RAID log meeting minutes action items

Required qualifications

7 years IT project management experience including public sector or regulated environments
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor delivery
Strong facilitation documentation and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to be on-site in Danville VA as needed

Preferred qualifications

PMP or PRINCE2
Agile/Scrum experience (CSM/PSM preferred)
Experience with government governance steering committees and formal approvals
