Job Summary
Job Description:
A professional driver isresponsible for safely operating a vehicle to transport passengers or goods adhering to traffic laws and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and8 mechanical soundness. Key duties include planning routes loading/unloading items timely deliveries and keeping accurate records of mileage and fuel consumption.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation & Safety:Safely transport passengers or goods adhering strictly to traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintenance:Perform routine inspections (tires brakes oil fluids) and arrange for repairs or maintenance to keep the vehicle in1 good condition.
- Navigation:Use GPS and route-mapping tools to determine the fastest safest routes adjusting for traffic.
- Logistics & Documentation:Load and unload goods document trip details mileage and fuel expenses.
- Client Service:Provide professional service which may include assisting with luggage or acting as a courier.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- License:Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Experience:Previous professional driving experience (usually 1 years).
- Physical Stamina:Ability to lift push or pull heavy goods when loading/unloading.
- Skills:Excellent navigation abilities time management and communication skills.
- Flexibility:Willingness to work flexible hours including nights weekends or long shifts.
Common Job Requirements
- Possess a valid commercial drivers license (if required for the vehicle type).
- Familiarity with local state and national traffic laws.
