Job Summary
Want to use your insurance and referral expertise to make a real impact in your community At Konza Prairie Community Health Center your work helps ensure patients receive timely specialty care and critical diagnostic services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to manage prior authorizations referrals and medical record coordination to support continuity of care and accurate reimbursement.
Pay & Schedule
- Competitive starting wage of $16.68 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time MondayFriday - Clinics close at 2:00 pm every Friday.

Responsibilities
- Obtain process and track prior authorizations for referrals and diagnostic imaging
- Coordinate with insurance companies hospitals and specialty providers
- Close referral loops and follow up on consult notes and results
- Manage incoming lab results imaging reports faxes and medical records within the EMR
- Process pharmacy refill requests and provider communications
- Review records for completeness and retrieve missing documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of EMR experience required
- 2 years of patient-facing medical experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare Medicaid HMOs PPOs and insurance processes preferred
- Family practice or hospital experience preferred
