As a Security Officer - Perimeter Rounds in Torrance CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at an aero and defense location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control observe activity document and report concerns and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification managing badges and/or visitor credentials logging entries and exits and coordinating visitor processing and escorts per location procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings production areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations noting unusual conditions and reporting them per protocol.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services when directed.
- Complete security-related reports and logs document incidents and observations and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
