Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our Global Public Affairs team youll be at the epicentre of where Maersks business strategy intersects with geopolitics policy-shaping and sustainability. We support all parts of the business on political issues and we have a global responsibility.

As an intern in Global Public Affairs you will develop a nuanced understanding of how political economic and social shifts shape the future of international trade infrastructure development and decarbonization.

You will work with a broad range of tasks including:

• Work in a clear structured and organised manner with strong attention to detail.

• Engaging in rigorous desk research and analysis to inform our strategic decisions and policy advocacy across the business.

• Develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies for our top leadership to enhance the companys presence at key global forums such as the UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs) World Economic Forum (WEF) meetings and regional Climate Weeks.

• Oversee the planning and execution of high-level political visits to Maersks headquarters including coordinating logistics setting agendas and briefing senior management.

• Conducting deep-dive analyses into how global political shifts and legislative changes are reshaping the landscape of international trade and affecting Maersks strategic direction.

• Crafting compelling positions deepening our strategic frameworks and supporting engagement plans on a range of political topics.

• Supporting on ad hoc tasks with the potential to embark on special projects with the autonomy to steer your own course making tangible impacts on our global strategy.

The internship is a full-time position (37 hours/week) at our Copenhagen headquarters from August to January. We are however flexible to accommodate potential scheduling conflicts and your university credit transfer requirements. The internship is unpaid.
