Position Overview:

Were seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter who knows Solidworks understands mechanical systems and enjoys producing drawings that actually get built to join our dynamic team in Tullamarine. This role will ideally suit someone with a mechanical or trade background who enjoys steady precise and meaningful work supporting our Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Utilize pre-existing models to create assemblies and generate corresponding 2D drawings.
Create 3D models and 2D drawing using Solidworks.
Drafting mechanical systems and fabricated assemblies.
Ensure all designs adhere to company standards and project requirements.
make configuration changes
Manage and maintain design documentation and records.

Requirements:

Must have at least 5years industry experience as a draftsperson and have worked extensively with Solidworks (a Solidworks test will be part of the recruitment process).
Experience with Solidworks Vault.
Drafting experience in piping and P&ID.
Trades or hands on experience highly regarded.
A conscientious professional who takes pride in delivering precise and thorough work.

An individual who is not afraid to make mistakes or ask questions to learn and grow in the role

3D modelling prototyping or product design are outside the scope of this position and engineers looking to progress their engineering career need not apply. This is a pure drafting role.
