A leading bus manufacturer located in Green Fields SA is seeking a Team Leader Diesel Mechanical Fitter (Vehicle Assembly) to join their team.

The important parts:

Day shift: 6:30am 2:36pm
Competitive casual pay rate: $62.50 per hour plus penalties
Immediate start available
Opportunity for ongoing employment directly with the client

What you will be required to do:

Lead and contribute to the assembly of vehicles by applying diesel/mechanical fitting expertise to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Lead and support a small team within vehicle assembly
Perform mechanical assembly and fitting tasks to specifications
Apply diesel/mechanical knowledge to ensure precision and efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
Utilise hand power and pneumatic tools effectively
Ensure safety quality and production targets are met
Maintain a clean and organised workspace

To be successful in the role you will:

Proven experience as a Diesel or Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing or vehicle assembly environment
Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (or equivalent qualification)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Competent in using hand power and pneumatic tools
Full working rights in Australia
Reliable transport and ability to get to work
Strong commitment to safety quality and teamwork
