Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician in Hartford CT
Join a dynamic team at a prestigious hospital in Hartford Connecticut offering a locum tenens position for a Hematology/Oncology physician. This role provides an opportunity to work in both inpatient consults and an outpatient clinic. The facility supports a collaborative environment with a practice comprised of 10 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs) ensuring high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in a 3-day clinic schedule with potential night and weekend call (infrequent).
- Manage patient consultations and coordinate follow-up care.
- Utilize EMR systems effectively including Epic.
- Collaborate with other providers to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to the educational and developmental initiatives within the practice.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required).
- Valid Connecticut medical license (required).
- Experience in handling adult and geriatric patients is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to handle a varying workload in a fast-paced environment.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification is required.
- Must have a valid CT medical license at the time of submission (no exceptions).
- A self-query NPDB report is required and must be pulled within the same month of submission.
