As a Security Officer - Part-Time Armed Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out post orders site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials screening for prohibited items per site procedures and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
- Prepare timely accurate written reports and maintain required logs documenting patrols incidents and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site policy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security experience or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree and/or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
