Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws maintaining authorized weapon retention and practicing de-escalation when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including dispatching appropriate notifications and supporting responding public services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings operational areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access theft vandalism and other site disruptions.
- Complete routine security-related documentation such as daily activity reports incident reports and patrol logs and communicate status updates to supervision and/or site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
