Central Operations (CO) is a team at Amazon Logistics that pursues new approaches and ways of working to provide scalable solutions for running our increasingly complex and growing last-mile delivery network. The CO is responsible for critical processes in the last mile of delivery including route planning scheduling and forecasting and on-road management with a vision to continuously transform how we do this in a scalable way.
We are looking for a Product Manager - Tech to join the team and drive improvements to the processes and technology used within Central Operations (CO). This candidate must have the ability to excel and thrive in a new often ambiguous team. The successful candidate will be responsible for thinking big developing original ideas and directly influencing and collaborating with the Transportation Team Last Mile Tech Team Operations and Business Development Team to develop a strategic approach to further expand CO.
Key job responsibilities
* Define and drive the business strategy for your products driven by internal and external analysis
* Demonstrate UX concepts with AI prototyping tools
* Develop detailed crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product
* Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience performance profitability and operational support load
* Identify and collaborate with Tech teams to automate repetitive workflows for cross-functional teams.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across disciplines and levels in the organization.
* Work cross-functionally with teams to execute product launches
* Proactively identify and resolve strategic and/or tactical issues that impair the teams ability to meet goals
- 5 years of customer-facing product development and product management including defining launching and optimizing product and services experience
- Bachelors degree or above in a related field
- Experience developing deploying and managing AI products at scale
- Experience working with fast-moving high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
- Experience in stakeholder management and communication management
- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
- Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL MYSQL and ETL Manager and working with large data sets
- Speak write and read fluently in Japanese
