Construction Manager – Early Works

Job Summary
Responsibilities & Competencies
- This position is the single point of accountability for all construction activities on-site during the early works phase. They are responsible for all safety quality and profit/loss of operations during this time.
- Success in this role will be measured by how prepared the site is for the structural mechanical piping and electrical teams.
- Plan and execute all early works activities.
- Read construction drawings understand specifications and communicate requirements directly to tradesmen performing the work.
- Understand and maintain regulatory compliance for projects.
Qualifications
- Experience as a direct-hire superintendent over at least one of the relevant trades is required.
- Experience as a tradesman in at least one of the relevant trades is preferred.
- Extensive experience in industrial concrete installation including direct supervision over mass pours of 1000 CY and more is preferred but can be substituted with strong expertise in earthworks.
- Proactive self-motivated able to operate independently.
- Excellent verbal skills dealing with stakeholders on a construction site notably engineering subcontractors vendors and other partners.
- Attention to detail; able to deliver quality the first time.
