RESPONSIBILITIES
This role supports the Maintenance Department in developing providing and maintaining the maintenance team (mechanical electrical instrument and controls) training records training material training procedures and training schedules under minimal supervision. The candidate will coordinate the training program based on industry best practices manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements to include but not limited to: FERC PHMSA NFPA USCG and EPA.
Other duties include:
Establish and direct maintenance training systems conduct classroom self-paced learning and practical hands-on instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance repair and operation of equipment (compressors pumps turbines valves diesel engines bearings instruments rigging tools maintenance fundamentals etc.).
Implement and manage maintenance training processes that emphasize proactive and preventative maintenance to maximize the operational efficiency of facility equipment.
Read and interpret technical manuals utilize subject matter experts team members and established processes to create and sustain training materials.
Research and compile information and feedback necessary to analyze and identify training needs to generate highly effective and detailed training material.
Train and develop team members on new and/or modified processes systems and equipment (MOC).
Assess maintenance trainee training performance in accordance with training program requirements.
Ensures facility remains compliant with all legal regulatory training requirements.
Lead small teams and coordinate with 3rd party vendors for training projects.
Create Maximo and Oracle requisitions for training materials and services.
Develop and manage the maintenance training budget.
Submit required reports as necessary to meet Federal State and Local compliance regulations.
Demonstrate an aptitude to grasp technical concepts formalize ideas and effectively communicate them budget time effectively and utilize resources efficiently.
Monitor work activities to identify and resolve schedule impacts and conflicts.
Ensure that priorities and compliance requirements are communicated.
Attend daily and monthly planning meetings to provide input and coordinate work activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years experience in an industrial setting in process/product chemical engineering or operations or power plant operations depending on type of experience. Preferred: Maintenance craft lead or supervisor experience in power generation LNG production/processing petrochemical industries or journeyman level or higher Operations experience in power generation LNG production/processing or petrochemical industries. Training development and instructor experience in power generation LNG production/processing petrochemical industries. Completion of a formal craft training program is a plus.
Strong planning and organizational skills attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements preferred including DOT FERC NFPA USCG and EPA.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn other programs. Knowledge of SAP/Maximo or CMMS
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral written and electronic communication skills needed to effectively sustain a complex training program.
Training on environmental safety operations and security procedures.

Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
