Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Harriman TN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Learn more: As an armed patrol officer at a government location you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to calls with calm professional communication. You will document observations support access control and assist staff and visitors with a customer service mindset. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
- Control access by checking identification and/or credentials managing entry points and directing visitors in accordance with post orders and site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
- Complete security-related reports and logs document patrol findings and incidents and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement military and/or security experience OR a college degree.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
