What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by following site-specific procedures access guidelines and other security-related protocols and when appropriate supporting emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings residence areas parking areas and campus perimeter observing for unusual activity hazards and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation directing individuals to appropriate resources and requesting additional support when needed.
• Monitor entry points and common areas verify identification and/or authorization as required manage visitor check-in processes and help to maintain orderly movement through controlled areas.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents patrol findings and policy issues; communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervisors and on-site contacts and support investigations as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
