Job Description
As a Inmate Transport in Milwaukee WI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal in a government setting supporting inmate transportation this driving post you will conduct routine patrols and security-related checks stay visible to help reduce incidents and maintain clear communication with staff and the public. You will follow site procedures while delivering responsive customer service backed by an agile reliable and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour
Must be 21 years of age and must have a valid drivers license
Prior Law Enforcement or Military or Corrections or a minimum an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice required

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to government personnel and the public by following site-specific security-related procedures and post orders for inmate movement and transport operations.
- Assist with loading escorting and/or unloading inmates during transports and facility transfers following authorized restraint and chain-of-custody processes and maintaining professional communication at all times.
- Conduct security-related checks of transport vehicles equipment and assigned areas such as staging points and/or vehicle bays; report maintenance or operational concerns per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting staff with de-escalation emergency notifications and/or access control actions as directed.
- Complete required logs counts and incident documentation; communicate status updates via radio and/or phone to appropriate personnel in accordance with government facility procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
- A college degree is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age.
- A corrections officer license is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
