Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Rover in Reston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location as an armed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence that can help to deter incidents respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance and document security-related activity using site technology. With integrity teamwork and a caring people-first culture you will deliver dependable service and clear communication while supporting mission-focused operations.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Carry and operate authorized equipment for an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal protocols post orders and applicable laws and/or regulations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting coordination with site contacts and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings production areas parking areas and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification monitoring deliveries documenting activity and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 Years Law Enforcement Experience OR 2 Years Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3 Years Security Experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having a Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Having CPR Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
