This temporary position is located in 3205 Friendly Park Road Lenoir- Caldwell County with the Department of Adult Correction (DAC).


Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $34.54 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Management Preferences:

  • The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering Construction and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Electrical Supervisor to be a part of the Mountain Region Maintenance Team.
  • This position will have a duty station at the Mountain Region Maintenance Yard in Lenoir NC.
  • The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and carry on the work to its completion.
  • The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the planning and supervision of trenching conduit installations wire pulling installation and termination of cameras inside prison facilities and outside the institutions perimeter as well.
  • Work assignments result from discussions or written instructions from a superior and are in terms of objectives to be accomplished. Blueprints may accompany large installation jobs; however the employee is expected to plan layout draw complementary sketches and monitor the work of subordinates.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established trade practices and safety standards and is further evaluated based on continued and efficient operation of repaired systems and installations.

Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience in the repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronic apparatus; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Based on the nature of work performed may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.
