Job Summary

Immediate part-time opening for compassionate individual with a heart for serving our neighbors in need. This position is perfect for an organized and compassionate people-person who enjoys supporting volunteers and engaging with our client population. The Evening Food Programs Coordinator position works Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

The Hope Clinic is a non-denominational Christian social and medical service provider. The Evening Food Program Coordinator will regularly work with clients of diverse backgrounds and needs as well as volunteers in a range of ages and competencies including religious groups and school groups. The environment is busy and full of opportunities to assist and care for other people.

The mission of the food program is to provide all community members with easy access to nutritional food seven days per week through a variety of free services including:

  • Food Pantry
  • Farm Stand
  • Grocery Delivery
  • Evening Hot Meal Service
  • Emergency Food Needs

Reporting to the Food & Basic Needs Program Manager the Evening Food Program Coordinator oversees our afternoon/evening programs including hot meals Farm Stand produce distribution and one night of pantry appointments and Baby Care. Dedicated volunteers run each of these programs and the Program Coordinator is there to provide direction address emerging needs and challenges and provide continuity for volunteers and guests. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the dining room during meals
  • Ensuring all safety protocols and community guidelines are followed
  • Oversee data collection including guest visits and volunteer hours
  • Securing the facility at the end of the night
  • Training and supporting new volunteers
  • Communicating other services and making referrals for clients in need


Requirements include high school diploma or GED plus proven experience coordinating high-volume volunteer schedules in a fast-paced setting. To be successful in this critical role the ideal candidate will possess a calm demeanor and the ability to remain patient and respectful in challenging situations. Strong communication skills a must with the ability to comfortably and sensitively interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of English proficiency. Reliability punctuality and flexibility to manage volunteers and program schedules required.
