HVAC Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all types of HVAC systems and associated components.
- Replace filters when necessary.
- Maintain facility operations through the monitoring and repair of various mechanical electrical plumbing equipment and controls.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems.
- Perform brazing soldering pipefitting welding and fabrication.
- Read complex blueprints piping sketches schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Inspect monitor repair maintain and operate mechanical systems motors compressors pumps fans ducts pipes thermostats and switches.
- Install maintain and repair heating ventilating air conditioning glycol heating hot water and steam distribution equipment and systems to optimize performance and energy use.
- Comply with company safety program and trainings.
- Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma GED or equivalent experience.
- ValidDriversLicense.
- 3years of related HVAC/Electrical maintenance and repair experience in a commercial facility
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
- Availabilitytoworkvariable shifts; including dayornightshift and including weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in airport operations.
- UnderstandingofJohnson Control Systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Basicproficiencywith computers and common software applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of HVAC Technician the employeeis regularly required tostand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk orhear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include goodclose proximityvision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment issimilar toairport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts high precarious places outside weather conditionsfumesor airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals cold and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment.
