Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Driver Coverage in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at an education location you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine mobile patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and adherence to AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will build rapport with students staff and visitors through strong customer service clear communication and teamwork grounded in integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to campus facilities verify identification and/or visitor authorization and direct guests to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including providing assistance documenting details and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings common areas and perimeter routes to help to deter policy violations unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities incidents and observations; communicate shift handoff information and coordinate with campus partners as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
