Core Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of upperâextremity injuries and conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide postâoperative care including wound care and customized protocols.
- Fabricate custom orthoses/splints as needed.
- Document treatment progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Collaborate with surgeons physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues.
- Educate patients and families on care prevention and home exercise programs.
Requirements:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing.
- Experience in hand therapy and upperâextremity rehabilitation.
- CHT certification preferred (or candidate actively pursuing certification).
- Strong manual therapy splinting and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and patientâeducation abilities.
- Postâsurgical hand and wrist rehabilitation
- Custom splint fabrication
- Treatment of fractures tendon injuries nerve repairs arthritis and overuse injuries
- Knowledge of current evidenceâbased hand therapy practices
