Join our Child Youth & Family Wellbeing team within the Family Relationship Centre (FRC). Youll deliver childfocused traumainformed Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) in a multidisciplinary environmentsupporting separating parents and caregivers to create safe futurefocused parenting arrangements that prioritise childrens needs experiences and voices.
Your role your impact
Were seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner who keeps children at the centre of decisionmaking and embeds childinclusive/childinformed practice into every aspect of FDR.
In this role you will:
- Deliver Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) in line with legislative and operational requirements maintaining neutrality and a futurefocused stance.
- Facilitate agreements across parenting child welfare child support and financial/property matters using a familysystems approach.
- Embed childinclusive/childinformed practice ensuring childrens voices and developmental needs are reflected ethically and safely in parenting arrangements.
- Assess childfocused risk continuously and codesign safety plans including responding to family violence psychological harm mental illness substance use and disability.
- Engage highconflict and mandated clients using structured evidenceinformed strategies.
- Document accurately and compliantly using FRC and EACH templates and meeting all quality legal and procedural standards.
- Practice cultural safety and inclusion working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples CALD communities and LGBTIQ clients.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external services to ensure holistic client support.
- Facilitate group programs including the Parenting Orders Program (POP) and general information sessions.

- Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) who is calm neutral and childfocused when supporting families through highconflict situations.
- Riskaware practitioner with strong assessment skills and an understanding of the impacts of parental conflict and family violence on children.
- Inclusive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills able to work collaboratively across services.
- Organised and reliable professional with strong timemanagement and documentation skills.

- Childinclusive/childinformed FDR expertiseability to safely elicit interpret and represent childrens experiences within FDR and translate insights into practical developmentally appropriate parenting arrangements.
- Strong child development and attachment knowledge with the confidence to communicate childrens needs to parents in accessible supportive ways.
- Familysystems and traumainformed approach balancing the needs perspectives and safety of all family members.
- Legislative and framework knowledge including the Family Law Act FRC Operational Framework MARAM and Information Sharing Schemes (FVISS/CISS).
- Highconflict and mandated client engagement skills including the use of structured safe futurefocused interventions.
- Group facilitation capability ideally with experience delivering the Parenting Orders Program (POP) or similar.
