Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist to be based in Newfoundland.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Conducts environmental field work and field programs including the collection of air soil water and other materials for laboratory analysis.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Assist with various remediation projects in the field and office.
Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Employee needs to be currently living or willing to re-locate to Newfoundland.
Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline (Science Geotechnical Geology Environmental Engineering etc.) two (2) years of related experience within this field.
Experience with field work conducting sampling of media (groundwater surface water soil sediment etc.).
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to travel to job sites (sometimes remote) on occasion.
Field work experience.
Working in a team setting to meet timelines and quality management.
Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
