We are excited to announce a job opening for a Fiscal Technician Citywide Classification within the City of North Las Vegas (CNLV). This is a great opportunity to contribute to our organizations continued success.
This job posting will create a citywide eligibility list specifically for internal non-probationary Teamster members. This list will be used to fill Fiscal Technician vacancies across various departments excluding Police and Corrections.
The eligibility list will be active for up to 180 days. All non-probationary Teamster members who successfully complete the selection process will be placed on this list.
In accordance with our collective bargaining agreement we will first attempt to fill the position from the internal Teamster eligibility list. All other employees (including part-time and temporary staff) and external candidates are welcome to apply. If the position is not filled by a full-time non-probationary Teamster member we will then consider qualified part-time/temporary employees and external candidates.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
Performs technical accounting activities including processing and reconciling accounts; and to perform a variety of technical accounting duties involving the reporting of financial transactions and the maintenance of financial records for City operations programs and services.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated experience in accounts payable purchase order processing payroll support budget monitoring and revenue tracking. They maintain a high level of accuracy in financial operations and exhibit strong regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards. Exceptional attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple financial processes efficiently are essential for success in this role.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100% requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written performance and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education experience knowledge skills and abilities.
