Essential Responsibilities:
- Operation ofa platform drill Cat 6200 and a Sandvik Leopard DI650i
- Operates and understands mechanics of a top head drilling unit equipped with multi-function joy sticks and GPS on a mine site
- Complywithall companyclient legislated safetypoliciesand proceduresofdrilling in a large open pit surface mine
- Understands the limitations of the drill rig and theperformancesitcan safelyprovide
- Detects andperformsmall mechanical repairs to the drill
- Communicateeffectively and professionally with other team memberswhen neededwith the ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Minimumoneyearssurface drilling experience usingvariousdrilling units
- Wouldhave thorough knowledge of drill patterns and the structure in which they are developed
- MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket isrequired; training and supportisprovided to obtain or updatecertificate as needed
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Work Conditions
- 5 days on with 4 days off working 12 hour days that has the potential to alternate between a day and night shift rotation
- Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week and are paid at time and a half
- Living out allowance provided for those who qualify

- Work will be primarily outdoors and in various weather conditions
