Employee Lifecycle (ELC) Specialist with German

Role Overview:

At Huntsman we are seeking a German-speaking ELC Specialist to join our International Global Business Services (GBS) Center in Kraków. Our GBS organization is dedicated to delivering comprehensive business process support across the EMEA region. Located in the heart of the city the Kraków office serves as a strategic hub providing efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of business needs.

The Employee Life Cycle (ELC) Specialist manages hire to retire and time and attendance for the German market ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The selected candidate handles sensitive employee and company information and enquiries in compliance with local laws applicable collective labor agreements shop agreements and corporate policies. It is an expert position with direct reporting to the Employee Life Cycle Team Leader.

Role Responsibilities:

As an ELC Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • HR Data Management - carrying out a wide range of routine HR data processing tasks from hire to retire (i.e. new hires rehires employment data changes terminations); ensure that all processes are completed accurately efficiently and in a timely manner including organization of onboardings.

  • Employee Documentation Management - preparing employment documentation (i.e. contract of employment employee references) .

  • HR Data Reporting - responsible for gathering and summarizing data for HR reports and delivering them in a timely manner.

  • Time and attendance maintenance time and absence recording in the system and resolving any discrepancies in T&A records.

  • New Hire Orientation - coordinating the onboarding process including preparing hiring manager checklists organizing all pre start arrangements and planning of employees first day.

  • Employee first point of contact - resolving all queries from internal customers by providing information and guidance on applicable collective labor agreements shop agreements policies and/or procedures.

  • Stakeholder Partnership - working closely and maintaining excellent relationships with the internal and external stakeholders and contributing to the management of the partnering relationship.

  • Project Management - active participation in projects to continuously improve existing processes or individual process steps.

  • Workflow Management - utilizing knowledge management and case management systems to address track and resolve HR inquiries within Service Level Agreements.

Experience and Competencies:

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role supporting German market

  • Experience in working based on German Labor Law applicable collective labor agreements shop agreements

  • Understanding of time and attendance systems or willingness to learn

  • Proven experience in transition of HR processes from a local to a global model is a plus

  • Impact Assessment being able to align the processes to the changes in Legal Policies

  • Organizational skills: accuracy and attention to details prioritization and time management planning and follow-up skills to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals

  • Experience with Workday and Service Now is required

  • Very good proficiency in German and English is required

  • Understand HR disciplines and the applications related to employment commonly used in the country

  • Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement the ability to adapt quickly to change and a talent for out-of-the-box thinking to drive innovative solutions in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people on various managerial levels
