Position Overview
A respected acute care hospital in Hudson Florida is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg to join its Medical Surgical team. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions ensuring safe effective and patient-centered care.
This role requires strong assessment skills the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently and a commitment to delivering high-quality clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
Coordinate care with physicians case managers therapists and ancillary staff.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Adhere to infection control safety and regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (or compact state).
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS certification.
Strong clinical assessment communication and organizational skills.
