Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains two (2) LNG Storage Tanks one (1) LNG Carrier Berth and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur Texas between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.

Job Summary:
In this role you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging material management quantity verification and validation safety and quality control technical inspection and testing knowledge and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely are complete and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Major Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Packaging

Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
Material Management

Initiates requisitions for field purchases
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities

Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control

Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical

Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
System Turnover Coordinator
For Direct Hire:

Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator

Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education and Experience Requirements:
Typically requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Familiar with insulation and insulation systems.
Experience specific to cryogenic insulation design installation and/or inspection.
Experience in performing material take-offs and managing of material for insulation systems.
Experience working in direct hire and subcontract construction environments is preferred.
Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred.
Experience in oil gas refinery petrochemical minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Aconex TEAMWorks DSC Unifier and other automation tools which are used on Bechtel projects is an asset.
Computer literate in word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
