Position Purpose

The Principal Policy Advisor plays a lead role in shaping and delivering regulatory strategy at Endeavour Energy. As part of the Regulation & Investments team you will provide expert economic and policy advice drive high-quality regulatory submissions and support the effective implementation of regulatory strategies that align with Endeavours objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide authoritative regulatory and economic advice across the organisation to ensure business decisions align with regulatory strategy and policy outcomes.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of clear compelling regulatory submissions and proposals that support our strategic priorities.
  • Analyse and provide recommendations on changes to economic legislative and policy frameworks impacting the regulation of infrastructure assets.
  • Represent Endeavour Energy at external forums industry workshops and stakeholder meetings building strong relationships and advocating the organisations position.
  • Support the preparation and management of Regulatory Determination processes ensuring submissions are robust evidence-based and capable of withstanding regulatory scrutiny.
  • Develop and contribute to submissions to economic regulators rule makers and government agencies responding to consultations on technical and non-technical regulatory matters.
  • Provide expert advice to Endeavour Energy leadership on emerging economic and policy developments affecting the group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Law Economics Accounting Commerce Finance or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the broader organisational context and the commercial implications of regulatory decisions.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar professional role within the energy electricity or broader utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and economic principles relevant to infrastructure industries.
